  Small 4to (cm 21.7), attractive early 17th's cent. brown calf binding with double golden border of fillets, spine lettered, a very genuine and clean copy (some worming in flyleaves). Woodcut device on title and at the end, pp. [viii], 177, [15]. First edition. An extended refutation of the Florentine Guicciardini's censures of Venice expressed in his history of Italy (1561). Despite their disagreement, Leoni expressed his admiration for Guicciardini in the Considerationi. Adams L-489.
