First edition A FINE COPY with deckle edges of this Italian atlas of America. European interest in the events in North America focused attention on the continent during this period. In Italy particularly, a number of atlases and maps were issued to satisfy local interest in the region. The maps were taken from 'Il Gazzettiere Americano' (Livorno, M. Coltellini, 1763), the text of which is a translation of the American Gazetteer (London 1762). Phillips 1167.
