In 8° (cm 15.8), original dark morocco rebacked, covers gilt with a thin gold frame with corner vineleaf tools, central lozenge gold tool, the binding finely restored in the corners of boards and on head and foot of the spine, but in very good condition. Original grey/green edges, faded. Flyleaves renewed (but preserving the original ones). Inside a fresh copy with good margins. Cicogna 792; Brunet III, 1781; Alden-Landis 525/11. ICCU-Edit16 CNC quotes apparently only 3 copies in the public libraries. The leaf q8 verso has a reference to America. First edition. Provenance: Giannalisa Feltrinelli, with ex-libris inside upper board and impressed library stamp on first flyleaf.
