Folio (cm 38.5), 2 parts in one vol., some browning for the quality of the paper, but a genuine copy belonged to the famous Leonardo's scholar Ladislao Reti, with his ex-libris. Several interesting contemporary notes by a Spanish owner. Engraved portrait of Leonardo, pp. (8), 112, (22), 62 withj figures; the 2nd part contains the texts 'Trattato della Pittura' and the 'De Statua' by L. B. Alberti, (with Alberti's engraved portrait). FIRST EDITION OF LEONARDO'S TREATISE ON PAINTING as known never published during his lifetime; also the 'De Statua' by L. B. Alberti is in First edition. Kate Tr.
